Michelle Quinter is a Sydney based abstract artist with a background as a commercial designer. Having extensively studied fine arts both here and internationally, her approach to creating art is free and expressive, capturing a spectrum of moods and emotions in a visual diary.

Michelle works with multiple layers and textures, creating a harmonious balance between light and dark. Michelle’s process is intuitive and experimental, allowing the painting itself to guide; often beginning without knowing where it will take her.

Whilst the work is mostly non-representational, glimpses of landscape and the moods of nature often present themselves. Michelle is influenced by classical, romantic painters who use atmospheric washes of paint.
